Roads and walking tracks throughout the sanctuary have been constructed in such a way as to limit the removal of any old growth forest and fan palms, to avoid both soil erosion and impeded drainage. Their power is generated from the sun and only eco-sensitive composting toilets are used. Their original wildlife tours continue to lead the way in rainforest eco-tourism.
